Toepke.org is special to me because it was the first domain name I registered. Its prominent logo featured the planet Mars with “Toepke.org” blazoned across it. (I was, and still am, a big supporter of colonizing Mars.) The original website was coded using a simple text editor.
A few years later, the registration expired and someone else registered it. I watched and waited for that person’s registration to expire. I finally re-acquired Toepke.org in 2015.
The website remained dormant, showing only the Mars/Toepke.org logo until 2019. Today, Toepke.org is active as the location of my personal blog.
